Separate routes for separate purposes, each with a subject line and a response time.

1 Corrections and complaints

If we got something wrong, write to us with Correction in the subject line. Say which article, what you believe is wrong, and what you believe is right; a link to your evidence helps but is not required.

How corrections are decided and labelled is set out in Standards clause 6, and every correction we publish appears in the public corrections log.

2 News tips

Tips go to the same address with News tip in the subject line.

The useful form of a tip here is a pointer to a document: a filing, a docket, an agency action, a dataset, a public record we have not covered. Say where it can be found. We write from records we can cite and link, so a tip is worth most when it names one.

3 General enquiries

Anything that is not a correction, a tip, a press enquiry or an advertising matter goes to the same address. Questions about newsletters, including delivery problems, are answered fastest through this route.

4 Press

Enquiries from other news organisations about Threadline News or about what we publish go to the same address with Press in the subject line. Answered within two working days.

5 Advertising

Advertising enquiries go to the same address with Advertising in the subject line. Advertising is sold as fixed, declared positions, as stated on the Masthead; advertisers have no say in what is published and no sight of it before publication.

6 Post and security reports

Postal address: Publishing Resources, 98 US Hwy 46, Ste 7 #1057, Budd Lake, NJ 07828. Telephone: 888-405-8721.

Security vulnerabilities in the site itself go to the same address with Security in the subject line, acknowledged within two working days. Please report privately and give us a reasonable period to fix before publishing details.
