1 Do we sell or share personal information

Money does not change hands for your data and we receive no payment for it as such. We are paid when the unit is clicked, and the law counts the arrangement as sharing regardless, so it is named here as sharing.

Three ways to stop it, none of which needs an account and none of which takes anything away from the site. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or extension: this site reads it on every article and tells Taboola not to sell or share, which is how we treat it as a valid opt-out request under the CPRA. Use Taboola's own opt-out at taboola.com/privacy-policy, which covers every site carrying its units and not only this one. Or write to the address in the header of this page and we will action it by hand.

2 What we collect

The categories are short: an email address if you subscribe to something, the signup context and consent proof described in Privacy Policy clause 2, and standard server logs. We collect no sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it, and we draw no inferences about you ourselves. Taboola does draw them, from what its unit shows and what is clicked on it, and clause 1 is how you stop that.

Send a request by email, with Privacy request in the subject line, or follow the steps at Data requests. We verify a request by confirming with the email address it concerns, because that address is the only identifier we hold. An authorised agent may submit for you with written permission we can verify with you directly.

We acknowledge within five working days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where the law allows, in which case we tell you why.
